Interview:

Q: How long have you been a carpenter?

A: Only 3 years. Before that I was a bouncer at the Hickey Tricks Bar in Postville, Mississippi. I dated the bartender for a while and he taught me how to cut wood. I can't do a whole lot but I'm great with paneling!

Q: Why do you use two names, instead of just going by Amy?

A: My sister's name is Amy Katelyn. She's my cousin, too. My mama figured she could call us both to dinner by just yelling one name, but after a while she used two names for each of us when we would stomp through the trailer every time she needed one of us.

Q: Why are you bald?

A: Huh?

Q: Which designer is your favorite?

A: Frankie because he makes me laugh with cigarette tricks like once he put one up his nostril and it was lit and he smoked the whole thing while it was in his nostril. I cracked up and dropped my circular saw on my foot. Lost two toes, but it was still funny.

Q: Do you work out to get that build?

A: Yeah, I lift 32 ounce mugs of Bud every night! Ha!
